photo locations
Location recommendations I love
McAllister County Park, Belle Terre
Sweet, simple hidden gem of a beach in the beautiful incorporated village of belle terre. Perfect for extended sessions if you want to start out in Port Jefferson Village and then come here after for golden hour magic. Parking is super limited and village constable will totally give out tickets if you’re parked incorrectly, lol. Please allow time to ensure you get a spot- it will be worth it. Great for engagements, maternity, branding and family portraits.
ROBERT MOSES BEACH, FIELD 5
I absolutely love coming here for engagement, maternity and portraits of all kinds. The summertime and fall especially during golden hour make for the dreamiest, glowing portraits. The crashing ocean waves, the majestic lighthouse and winding boardwalk offer so many amazing photo opportunities. Please check for ticks after your session, comes with the territory!
the peconic river herb farm, calverton
Located along the Peconic River, this charming boutique-style herb farm is an amazing location for family sessions, engagements and even small elopements! There is a wide variety of plants every where you look , beautiful greenhouses and unique structures that make for such a dreamy backdrop for your photos. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop! Every time I come here I have to pick something new and fun up either for my home or garden.
frank melville park, setauket
This park is so sweet! I just love walking with my clients around this beautiful little park year-round. The mill pond, rustic red barn, and stone bridge are some of my favorite spots to shoot! Often I can capture swans, geese, and other birds flying by. There’s also a lovely wooded nature preserve with trails that is quite peaceful. I have my permit with this park and enjoy shooting here often.
camp hero, montauk
One of my favorite places to make magic! The magnificent bluffs are truly inspiring for engagement and elopment photoshoots. The Montauk Lighthouse stands prominently on the horizon and is met with the crashing ocean waves. For the adventurous type!
cedar beach, mount sinai
A personal favorite spot I’ve been coming to my whole life. Hands down the best sunsets on LI but just as beautiful on an overcast day. Nature trail with lots of scenic boardwalks, benches and views along the way as we make our way to the jetty. Dog friendly, small parking fee unless you have a Town of Brookhaven park pass. After our shoot, take in the last moments of sunset at Tiki Joe’s bar and grill. Live music all summer long. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of coming here/shooting here.
